AgriSmart DRC MOU Signing Luncheon Photos: The October 6th, 2016 luncheon hosted by AgriSmart was a bonding experience between the tribal chief brothers (chief ceremony), H. David Meyers (bio), AgriSmart Chairman, and DRC Governor Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka (tag), where they shared a giant six pound Maine lobster at the The Palm Restaurant in Tyson's Corner, VA. The Palm is a favorite fine dining spot of countless celebrities and US presidents, recognized for serving some of the absolute best steak and lobster in the world.
Accompanying Governor Mbaka to the US for the MOU signing, present at the lunch was Emmany Mputu, Ernest Modua, Didier Claude Gama, and Prest Jean Claude.
Members of the AgriSmart team attending the DRC MOU luncheon along with Meyers were Michel Lodugnon (bio), Walt Warme, Jr. (bio), and Trey Warme (bio).
Also in attendance to the luncheon,AgriSmart contract world renowned plant specialist, David N. Sasseville, Ph.D., contributing author of Plant Analysis Handbook III, a doctorate level college textbook, gave Governor Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka a briefing on his AgriSmart feasibility study performed in Côte d'Ivoire, Africa where he expressed a high level of confidence in the success of the project.
Later that evening, members of the luncheon group ate dinner at the home of Samuel Omwenga, in Silver Spring, MD. The meal served by Omwenga's gracious wife, Mary, was agreeably the best meal everyone could remember. Following dinner, DRC and AgriSmart representatives reviewed the MOU documents laying out the Public Private Partnership (PPP) relationship between the sustainable agriculture startup and African state in preparation for the signing to take place the following afternoon at AgriSmart headquarters in Rockville, MD.
