  Dogu (tag) with AgriSmart Founder and Chairman, H. David Meyers (bio | tag). Dogu heads AgriSmart’s palm oil farmers collective in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), West Africa. Dogu traveled 6 hours by bus to thank AgriSmart for giving he and his family jobs farming and processing palm oil. Dogu is 6’ 7” tall. For 30 years he carried 10 to 40 kilogram (approximately 22 to 88 lbs) palm oil fruit bunches with his bare hands an average of half a kilometer (about a third of a mile) to be carted for processing. AgriSmart tractors and modern tools, including electric pole saws, and gloves lessen the burden in addition to make farming more efficient and profitable for Dogu. ➜ Read more about AgriSmart palm oil production in Côte d’Ivoire..
